Objective
The SM&R Tax Free Fund seeks to provide
as high a level of interest income largely exempt from
federal income taxes as is consistent with preservation of
capital.
Fund Investment Strategy
Invests at least 80% of assets in highly-rated municipal bonds
which are exempt from federal income taxes (some may also
be exempt from state and local taxes).
Investor Objective
Suitable for individuals who are willing
to sacrifice some investment return for income exempt for
federal income tax, and under certain conditions, exempt from
state and local taxes.
